Beautiful new home construction located in Kingsport, Tennessee was the perfect backdrop for Executive Housing. Just under 1400 square feet brand new construction located in Kingsport, Tennessee. This 1950’s Tennessee brick ranch had sweet potential and was in need of a refresh. The original hardwood floors were refinished with a hard wax oil finish, new baseboards were installed, and a coat of crisp white paint was applied throughout the home. The compact kitchen needed to be brightened up a bit. Cabinets that flanked the small window were removed and replaced with stained floating shelves, an island shelf topped with a 100-year-old cutting board was installed to add functionality and charm, and to maximize storage and efficiency a large new pantry in the breezeway was installed. The interior was completed by installing floor- to-ceiling sheer window treatments to showcase the homes natural light and an eclectic addition of both new and vintage furnishings and textiles showcasing a new Tennessee life.
Charming hardscape was the vision for this exterior project. It was planned out in minutes on a paper napkin in a game of play. Outside the home, a pergola shades a space for a relaxing outdoor living and entertainment area. A long walkway invites you to the back of the property graced with a ‘La Petite Maison’ cottage that overlooks an outdoor dining space graced under Edison lights, raised vegetable beds and a custom chicken run. A unique and beautiful space where one can relax, unwind, or create and recharge.
